J. BOYD VAUGHAN
Realtor®
For most of his life, J.Boyd called Runge home, a small quaint town only about 100 miles away from the Texas Coast. He grew up chasing redfish near the Gulf of Mexico, tracking whitetail deer through the brush of South and Central Texas, and aiding in his father’s passion for running cattle. Through his experiences, he learned the value of hard work, developed an appetite for the outdoors, and, more importantly, a desire for others to have that same experience. The real estate industry has opened a door and allowed J.Boyd to serve others. Whether it involves livestock, wildlife, recreational retreats, or transitional lands, his understanding runs deep and he has a passion to share it.
J.Boyd takes pride in many things, but his love for the Lord and his household of five is where he finds value: his wife, Kelsea, and three kids, Jameson, Bradleigh, and Milo. Beyond that, his desire to serve others is evident and rarely goes unnoticed.
Boyd graduated from Texas A&M University in May of 2014, receiving a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics with a focus on Finance and Real Estate. Once he graduated, he was hired as a Capital Farm Credit (CFC) loan officer and spent over eight years financing rural properties and agricultural production operations. Because of his finance background, his passion for real estate investments grew, which led him to own/manage rentals, and buy and sell ranches. He finished his career at CFC in August of 2022. Serving a broad client base, J. Boyd is looking forward to providing his expertise by representing buyers and sellers in the rural and investment real estate industry.

Q&A
Where do you live?
New Braunfels, TX
Is that where you grew up?
No, I grew up in Runge TX
Why have you chosen Ranch Real Estate as a career?
Ranch Real Estate Sales is the perfect fit for me. Growing up on a cattle ranch in Karnes County aided my passion for living a country lifestyle. Naturally, I went into a career serving the rural community as a Loan Officer for Capital Farm Credit. Through my experiences, I learned the value of hard work, developed an appetite for the outdoors, and more importantly, a desire for others to have that same experience. The real estate industry has opened a door and allowed me to serve others, whether it involves livestock, wildlife, or recreational retreats.
Describe the perfect work day.
After a good night’s rest, I wake up thanking God for another day on this earth, and spend the first portion in the Bible, with a cup of coffee. Soon after, I go into New Braunfels to work out with a community of people who want to make you better. Once done, I hook up my trailer and buggy to show a beautiful ranch, someone’s dream. Once done, I sit down and intentionally learn more about the person who gave me the opportunity to show the ranch. I love people, and love being outdoors, what more can you ask for. After my day is done, I make it home for dinner catching up with my wife, Kelsea, and two kids, Jameson and Bradliegh.
Describe the perfect non-work day.
What I love most is God, Family, Friends and Outdoors. My perfect non-workday would have all of those involved. If I can host a get-together at the coast: fishing in the morning, enjoying God’s beauty, followed up with spending the afternoon sitting around a fire telling stories and enjoying fellowship with those who mean the most to me. It is hard to beat a day like that.
If you could give one sentence advice about how to live life, what would that be?
Live to serve God and others and do so with a joyful heart.
